How does DocuVerified's QR code verification work without installing an application?
Every issued document features a cryptographically signed QR code embedding an opaque verification token. When scanned using any smartphone camera or QR scanner, it instantly routes to our zero-install web portal which cryptographically validates the file against our hardware-anchored ledger in under 2 seconds.
DocuVerified replaces traditional paper stamp verification with a zero-friction web verification protocol. When a document is generated, the platform assigns an opaque alphanumeric token (format: DV-26-XXXXXX) that points to an immutable cryptographic record in our ledger.
The QR code contains a direct HTTPS URL to DocuVerified's public verification node. When an official, immigration officer, or bank underwriter scans the QR code, their standard web browser securely queries the ledger over TLS 1.3.
The system retrieves and displays the official issuing authority name, issuer verification badge, exact issuance timestamp, document lifecycle status (Active, Superseded, or Revoked), and the authorized summary of fields. No app download, software setup, or login account is required.
